NORTH CAROLINA — In a time of uncertainty thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, one thing's for sure — 2020 is one for the record books. As teachers, parents and students prepared to head back to school this summer, districts across North Carolina were faced with agonizing decisions: Should classes be held in person or remotely? How to best handle the new required safety and sanitization practices? What about sports?

Public schools have been in session for two weeks in North Carolina. Some are offering in-person instruction with fewer students in the classroom while others opted to begin the year fully remote.

So Patch wants to know: How are things going in your students' district? And how are parents and students feeling about the new policies and procedures?
