Granite Staters rise to challenge in NH Tackles Hunger food drive
The annual New Hampshire Tackles Hunger food drive has shifted online this year but still provides a way for people to help their communities.
Donations help local pantries shop for food at the New Hampshire Food Bank.
At both Nashua North and South, there are food pantries in each high school where students in need can get breakfast and lunch, even bringing home dinner for their families.
Keeping it stocked, even in tough times, has shown that this community will stand together. Even from a distance.
"We were able to kind of come together, virtually maybe, but we still did it and we still maintained some piece of what our community is about," Judy Loftus from the Nashua South food pantry said. "About taking care of each other and making sure that needs are met."
Staff and student athletes across New Hampshire are working to spread the message through social media and email. Doing whatever they can to help those in need while the need is so great.
