Starting Saturday, commuters travelling between New Castle and Glenwood Springs will see more routes from the Roaring Fork Transportation Authority (RFTA).
Communications manager Jaime Tatsuno, said 30 trips will be added between the two towns during peak hours, which comes out to one bus about every half hour.
“I think this will give people a lot of options, especially people who live in New Castle or people who live beyond," Tatsuno said. "They can drive to New Castle and park at the New Castle Park and Ride and catch a bus there.”
Tatsuno says the new routes are a part of RFTA’s Destination 2040 plan to address the Roaring Fork Valley’s mobility needs for the next 20 years.
