Memphis killer to be executed Thursday is now on death watch
Donnie Johnson suffocated his wife in 1984 in Memphis and has been on death row for more than three decades. He has asked Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee to commute his sentence to life without parole because he is now a changed man.
