2.3 earthquake hits near Gideon, Mo.

TALLAPOOSA, Mo. (KFVS) - A small earthquake hit part of New Madrid County, Missouri on Sunday, Oct. 13.

According to USGS, at 8:40 p.m. the 2.3 magnitude earthquake nine kilometers east of Gideon, Missouri.

The quake had a depth of 8 kilometers.
