DEDHAM, MA — It's been four months since outdoor dining was allowed in Massachusetts due to COVID-19. Now, the Dedham Select Board decided to extend outdoor dining two more months.

The Select Board announced on Friday that Dedham restaurants will be able to keep their patios open through November 30. The new deadline is a two-week extension of the town's original plan.

In early June, when the state was entering phase two of its reopening plans, Gov. Charlie Baker announced that restaurants would be able to reopen with outdoor dining only. Outdoor dining patrons don't have to wear masks at the table, but they do when going inside to the bathroom.
