Floyd County K9 Officer Drago was recently donated potentially life saving equiptment from the non profit company, Protection4Paws.

With temperatures outside already reaching into the 90's, Deputy Szymchack says the Hot-n-Pop system will come in handy.

"It allows me to monitor the temperature inside the car. So if I'm away from the car on a call I don't have to worry about if my air conditioner quits working. If it was to quit working it would send an alarm to my phone, the windows would roll down and it would turn the air conditioner on or the fan on wide open."

Szymchack says another feature allows him to pop the doors on his vehicle from a remote system attached to his belt.
