ISLAMABAD: The King of Bahrain Sheikh Hamad bin Isa al Khalifa arrived in Islamabad this afternoon on a three-day official visit to Pakistan, Radio Pakistan reported on Tuesday.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif received Sheikh Hamad at the PAF Base Nur Khan. Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, federal ministers and services chiefs were also present on the occasion.

A contingent from the three services presented guard of honour to the King.

The King of Bahrain was accompanied by a high-level delegation including members of the cabinet, government officials and important businessmen.

This is the first visit of the King of Bahrain to Pakistan in four decades.

During his stay, he will hold talks with President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on bilateral relations and matters of regional and international importance.

The two sides will explore ways to further strengthen cooperation particularly in trade and investment and will discuss ways to increase export of Pakistani manpower to Bahrain.

You said it so right :)

I don't know why he has gone to Pakistan but what I think is, he has gone there to get help from Pak Army to help Bahrain recover from worsening situation. We will find out in coming days what the trip was really for.

Meeting Pakistani politicians is useless as they only look for self interest & not Pakistan's interest. I strongly believe the real meeting is going to be with Gen. Raheel.

I am surprised to see Shaikh Hamad in good health

ma sha Allah, the Pakistani Army looks really good, strong, and handsome, ma sha Allah

Saudis and Bahrainis want one thing: "Ex"-Pakistani Military Soldiers.

UAE's got their Blackwater, i mean, XE Mercenaries. And they feel left out.

This Photo Op is just so Pakistani Political Parties know who not to mess with. The GCC has chosen their Messiah for Pakistan.

He is here to hire soldiers what else. These monarchs are afraid of rising in there countries and they want our forces to protect them. Recent change in WEST/US suggests that soon we may see them supporting rebels in these countries. Try to watch robert galway interview/speech in which he talks about it.

it was PA who save their ( Bahrain ) *** when there were clashes between sunnis and shia's .... but if its all cooking for Syria than we are playing with fire here and might burn and spread in pak as well , we already have enough problems to deal with .. selling arms is different but getting involved on full scale will start clashes between shia and sunni ... I am still confused about why Saudi's are meeting with PA , I am sure something serious is going to happen ... this years will be very important for this region ..

i can't understand , what wrong with it....i mean it will give us not just financial benifits but also huge diplomatic and political benifits at international level.....but no...we want to be alone..:hitwall:
