Britain's Got Talent's mind-reading duo DNA appeared on Good Morning Britain to wow Eamonn Holmes and Charlotte Hawkins with their skills ahead of their semi-finals appearance later tonight – but sadly things didn't quite go to plan.

After Darren and Andrew asked Eamonn and Charlotte to pick a card from a deck and to keep it secret, the pair correctly guessed that, yes, it was the three of clubs.

So far, so good, even if Eamonn tried to wind them up by pretending that they'd got it wrong.

But after Eamonn tested them to "do it again", that's when things went a little off-message. Oh, don't you just love the joys of live TV?

After a quick re-shuffle and a role swap, it was time for Eamonn to pick another card – which, as you could see when he showed it to the camera, was the ten of hearts.

But while Andrew got the number right, he fluffed it on the suit and triumphantly called it as the ten of diamonds. Whoops.

Sure, Eamonn might have given them the benefit of the doubt as he couldn't remember whether his card was the 10 of hearts or 10 of diamonds ("I'd forgotten, so I'd say you're right").

But Charlotte was quick to point out Eamonn's card was the 10 of hearts, and one or two viewers at home weren't entirely convinced...

Bit awkward.

You can watch it back here from about 1hr 34 minutes into the show, if you're so inclined.

Here's hoping that things go more smoothly for DNA when they appear in tonight's live semi-final with a performance which they've teased as "really special".

Revealing that they came into the competition "breaking one big act into three parts," the duo promised fans will see the concluding act if they make it through to the grand final.

DNA will be battling it out in the first semi-final of the week alongside St Patrick's Junior Choir Drumgreenagh, PC Dan, Niels Harder, Kyle Tomlinson, Empire Dance Crew, Tyrone & Mina and Miss Treat Vibe.

The first Britain's Got Talent live semi-final airs tonight (Monday, May 29) at 7.30pm on ITV.
