Adobe Scan is a handy app for photographing documents, posters, whiteboards and so on, as it detects the boundary of the object, crops, straightens and performs other operations to give a useful digital representation in PDF format, including OCR conversion of text.
A new version of the app — Adobe Scan for Bixby Vision — has been announced alongside the new Samsung Galaxy Note9.
Adobe Scan for Bixby Vision, as its name suggests, takes advantage of the Note9's Bixby Vision intelligent assistant.

Adobe Scan for Bixby Vision will initially be included with the Galaxy Note9, and will later become available for other devices featuring Bixby Vision including the Galaxy S8 and S8+, Galaxy Note8, and Galaxy S9 and S9+.
"With Adobe Scan, you no longer need to keep piles of paper on your desk or stuff your wallet with receipts," said Adobe vice-president and general manager of digital media, Ashley Still.
"By teaming up with Samsung and its intelligent assistant, Bixby, we’re providing the most intuitive mobile scanning experience to Galaxy Note9 users by putting smart technology in Adobe Sensei and Adobe Document Cloud to work for them."
Samsung Electronics mobile communications business global service partnership vice-president Elle Kim said "Enabling Bixby Vison to work seamlessly with a powerful app like Adobe Scan gives our customers the ability to get more done with the latest Samsung flagship smartphone, the Galaxy Note9, than ever before."
The standalone version of Adobe Scan is available from Google Play and from Apple's App Store.
