Once an agricultural outpost, Litchfield Park is one of the oldest suburban communities in the Phoenix metropolitan area. Located approximately 16 miles west of central Phoenix, this affluent community boasts a casual, small-town atmosphere with city amenities. This unique zoo is located four miles northwest of Litchfield Park and provides a natural habitat for many endangered species. The Wildlife World Zoo & Aquarium is home to Arizona's largest collection of exotic animals with more than 600 species on display 365 days a year. The latest addition to the zoo is the Aquarium, which has over 75 indoor exhibits including penguins, otters, sharks, and even stingrays that visitors can feed by hand.
