B&Q is selling bedding plants and herb bundles so you can spruce up your garden

GREEN fingered shoppers can now buy gardening bundles on the B&Q website, including bedding plants and herbs.

The DIY retailer has added a limited selection of gardening goods online, after initially pulling the sale of plants due to the coronavirus crisis.

The outdoor range starts from £8 for six assorted bedding plants, going up to £20 for two hanging baskets.

Shoppers will get a random selection of flowers including pansies, viola, sweet pea, ivy, wallflower, dianthus, primrose and polyanthus.

The retailer is also selling an assortment of four herbs - including a mixture of thyme, sage, rosemary, parsley, lemon balm, lavender or helicrysum - for £11.

Shoppers won't get to pick which flowers or herbs they get.

B&Q has been labelled as an “essential” retailer, meaning it can continue to trade - although it’s currently only taking online orders.

While stores are closed for browsing, shoppers can order for home delivery from a limited range of items online, or they can click and collect.

Click and collect orders can be picked up from outside closed stores.

The new range of plants and herbs are only available through click and collect, meaning you won't be able to get them ordered to your home.

Once you've added your flowers to your online basket, you'll need to check your nearest store offers click and collect.

At the time of writing, there are 12 different types of plants and herbs to choose from.

Click and collect is currently free from B&Q.

Customers are being advised to only leave their home to pick up their item once they've received a confirmation text or email from B&Q.

You should also call your collection store 15 minutes before you arrive so staff can arrange for your item to be brought out to you.

Some B&Q shops have changed their hours due to the coronavirus outbreak - use the online store finder to see when your nearest branch is open.

B&Q has almost 300 stores in the UK.

Brits are being advised to only leave their home for essential reasons, so keep this in mind when shopping online.
