Who doesn't love shopping, especially when it’s free?
The Spring Clean-Up program recently experienced in Tsawwassen and Ladner allows the friendly exchange of unwanted goods amongst the community. It was nice to see so many children's items that could be passed from one child to another and are so helpful for young families. Subsequent removal of unwanted items is an annual service provided by the City of Delta.
Thanks and respect to the generosity of residents who essentially donate quality items others may need or simply want. Some simply wish to purge, de-clutter and save themselves a trip to the dump.
Getting rid of unwanted large items cluttering our environment creates an equally great feeling for those who wish to tidy up and reorganize. The extra waste removal offers a helping hand in disposing of messy items cluttering our personal space is also very satisfying.
Through the experience of what is not automatically hauled away as waste, people can learn about the difficulty in disposing of toxic materials, batteries, electronics, and very heavy items like mattresses or building materials.
Kudos to the City of Delta for keeping this city clean. Whether you are a collector or a neat freak, cleaning up our community through recycling and trading quality items proves that one person’s junk is absolutely another person’s treasure.
