ORLANDO, Fla. — John D. Gelles, OD, FIAO, FCLSA, FSLS, said best corrected spectacle acuity is a great metric for determining what type of contact lens to select for a patient with keratoconus.
He and his colleagues conducted a retrospective data analysis of 737 eyes with keratoconus and created an algorithm that will soon be published, he said.
Disclosure: Gelles reports he is a consultant and speaker for Avedro, BostonSight, SynergEyes and Visionix; an advisor to and speaker for Gas Permeable Lens Institute; and an executive board member and speaker for the International Keratoconus Academy.
