Speaker Biography

Gregg earned his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1982. After a brief stint in precious metal refining at Handy and Harman, Gregg spent 20 years working with metal powders and flakes in South Plainfield, NJ, generally supplied to the Electronics Industry. The South Plainfield facility underwent several ownership changes, starting out as Metz Metallurgical Corporation, which was purchased in 1986 by Degussa Corporation, spun off as part of DMC-2 in 1999, and ultimately acquired by Ferro Electronic Materials Systems in 2001. During that period, Gregg held a variety of positions in Manufacturing, Process Engineering, and Research and Development and was appointed Director of Technology for the Metal and Glass Powder R&D Groups in 2003. In January of 2006, he joined NanoDynamics, Inc. and is currently Materials Development Manager of the NDMaterials business unit.
