MANATEE COUNTY, FL — Visitors to Manatee County-owned properties no longer need to wear masks, have their temperatures checked or observe social distancing practices, according to a news release from the county.

The change comes after Manatee County commissioners voted Tuesday to remove all COVID-19 related restrictions at county buildings and properties.

Before commissioners made their decision, Dr. Jennifer Bencie, the county’s health officer for the Florida Department of Health, told them that 52 percent of eligible county residents 16 and older have been vaccinated.
