Usher performs at the grand opening of his Las Vegas residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace on July 16, 2021.

If you haven’t seen the video for Imagine Dragons’ new song “Sharks,” stop what you’re doing and hit YouTube. The video was filmed entirely in Las Vegas at Bellagio, Mandalay Bay and Allegiant Stadium, a shoot that took three days in May. The clip features frontman Dan Reynolds having some enviable aquatic adventures at Shark Reef, onstage in the “O” theater and among the fountains at Bellagio. Imagine Dragons will play Vegas again on Sept. 10 at Allegiant Stadium.

The Downtown Las Vegas Events Center, already home to music festivals like Reggae Rise Up, Lost in Dreams and Punk Rock Bowling, will host the inaugural Rumbazo Latin Music Festival on Sept. 10-11, a two-day “celebration of Latin music, art, food and culture.” Obviously well placed for Hispanic Heritage Month, the event is expected to draw 15,000 attendees per day, with a musical lineup and ticket details coming soon.

In other entertainment event announcements this week: Jazz star Jonathan Butler will perform at the Chrome Showroom at Santa Fe Station on Sept. 25; Punk favorites Lagwagon will play Backstage Bar & Billards on Oct. 5; And singing sensation Marc Anthony will open his Viviendo Tour at Michelob Ultra Arena at Mandalay Bay on Oct. 27.

A private jet flight to Las Vegas with new Dolby Live headlining resident Usher is one of the prizes available in The Wild Wild Quest, an over-the-top scavenger hunt from MGM Rewards, the renovated loyalty program of MGM Resorts, which kicks off today. More than 100 major prizes are up for grabs, including VIP access to huge sporting events and Las Vegas entertainment, dining and resort experiences, through July 11. Nine MGM properties across the Strip will unveil hidden QR codes located on everyday objects and some of the Strip’s most iconic attractions, and each code can be scanned to open a page where entrants receive a single entry for the opportunity to win a prize. More details on the contest and prizes are available at mgmresorts.com.

“Sexxy The Show” had a long and fruitful run at Westgate Las Vegas, and its creator and producer, Jennifer Romas, took a version of her burlesque show to Larry Flynt’s Hustler Club when pandemic restrictions wouldn’t allow it elsewhere. Now Romas is teaming up with Go Best, operating partners of the local gentleman’s club and several other venues across the country, to launch a new touring concept called “Exxcite The Show.” It is slated to visit multiple markets this summer for pop-up performances at Hustler Clubs in Oklahoma City, New York, St. Louis and Detroit, launching first in Las Vegas on July 16. Audiences can expect all-new acts sprinkled with some original flair paying homage to the Vegas original.

Tropicana headliner Murray Sawchuck is producing a fun new show next month at the Pass Casino in Henderson. “Murray’s Misfits” will feature magic, comedy and stunt performers such as Frankie Pace, Erica Vanlee, Carla Rea, John Shaw, Sideshow Bert and Sawchuck himself, as well as his showgirl bride Dani Elizabeth. The show is set for 8 p.m. July 29 with tickets available at bonkerzcomedyproductions.com.
