Lemon Grove School Board To Interview Candidates For Vacancy

LEMON GROVE, CA — The Lemon Grove School District Board of Education will hold a special meeting Thursday to review applications and select up to eight candidates for a vacancy on the board.

The board accepted applications from Oct. 9 to Oct. 25 for the vacancy. The eventual appointee will begin serving during the board's Dec. 17 meeting in a term that term will run through Dec. 15, 2020, according to school district officials.

The board will hold final interviews during its regular meeting Nov. 12, giving candidates up to three minutes to state their qualifications and take questions from sitting board members. The chosen candidate will be sworn in following the Nov. 12 meeting.

The board is scheduled to meet at 4 p.m. at the Lemon Grove Library's community room at 3001 School Lane.
