Cardinals cruise at LPGE

The Alexandria gymnastics team went on the road for its season opener and came back from Long Prairie-Grey Eagle-Browerville with a 126-90.25 win on Tuesday.

Junior Kelsey Fletcher led the way as she finished first in the all-around scores with a 31.725. It was part of a 1-2-3 finish there for the Cardinals. Rachel Boyden was second at 30.3, and Izzy Kent finished third with a score of 29.95.

Alexandria took the top spot in all four skills. Ailynn Fettig, a sophomore, took two of those by placing first on the floor (8.75) and the bars (7.95). Kaylee Meyer was first on the beam with an 8.325, and Boyden vaulted her way to first with a score of 8.55.
