Missing Norwalk 31-Year-Old With Schizophrenia Is Found

CERRITOS, CA — Authorities on Wednesday found a 31-year-old Norwalk man with schizophrenia who had been reported missing earlier that day.

Authorities didn't say where they found Markmina Mokbel Guirguis, who is bipolar and suffers from schizophrenia. He had last been seen in the 13000 block of Bloomfield Avenue, south of Civic Center Drive, about 11 p.m. Monday, according to Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Guirguis is Egyptian, 5 feet 6, 150 pounds with a bald head and brown eyes. He has two tattoos, "Money" on his right bicep and "Mark" on his left bicep and wears a diamond stud earring on his left ear. He had last been seen wearing a dark hoodie with white lettering, dark pants and black-and-white checkered Vans shoes, Koerner said.
