FREMONT, CA — Four full days after 90-year-old George Lopes got into his car and drove away from his Fremont home, the police department announced that he "has returned home safely." Police did not elaborate on where he has been during the time that he was reported missing.
Police first asked for the public's help in locating Lopes Monday morning, and again on Wednesday.
Lopes had left his home on Old Canyon Rd in Fremont at 7 a.m. Sunday. He left home without a cell phone and was considered at risk because of a medical condition.
