Drowning Victim Found In Lake Mahopac

The name of the man has not been released.

MAHOPAC FALLS, NY — Rescue crews were sent to Lake Mahopac for a possible drowning. According to a Facebook post by the Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department, an investigation found that a man was missing under the water.

Dive members found the victim within five minutes and was taken to Phelps Hospital.

The Daily Voice reported that a 55-year-old Mahopac resident died after his kayak turned over in the lake.
