Motorcyclist killed trying to avoid deer on rural road

A Central Texas man has died after being involved in a motorcycle accident.
The Texas Department of Public Safety responded to a fatal motorcycle crash Friday night about a mile north of Kirvin in Freestone County.
The crash happened just before midnight Friday in the northbound lane of FM 80.
The rider, Ryan Harrup, 32, of Teague was pronounced dead at the scene, Department of Public Safety Sgt. Ryan Howard said.
He was riding his Harley Davidson around a curve when a deer darted onto the road.
As he attempted to avoid the animal, his motorcycle left the road and crashed into a tree, Howard said.
