Suspect Holds Knife to Victim’s Throat

• At 9:39 a.m. Friday, police responded to the 300 block of Noel Avenue after a caller said her boyfriend held a knife to her throat and stabbed the knife into a bed. The suspect fled the scene when police were called.

 

Hit and Run Reported

• At 4:25 p.m. Friday, police responded to a hit and run in the 800 block of Harrison Avenue. A caller reported being rear-ended by a blue Honda passenger car.

 

Suspect Booked on Domestic Violence Charge

• At 11:16 p.m. Friday, police responded to the 600 block of South Pearl Street and arrested Elijah M. Simpson, 21, of Centralia on suspicion of fourth-degree assault — domestic violence.

 

Suspect Cuts Roommate With a Knife

• At 8:41 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the 400 block of East Pine Street and arrested Martin T. Rodriquez, 50, of Centralia on suspicion of second-degree assault — domestic violence. Rodriquez allegedly cut his roommate’s finger with a knife. The injury was non-life threatening.

 

Chainsaw Stolen

• At 8:41 a.m. Saturday, a theft of a chainsaw was reported in the 2500 block of Fords Prairie Avenue.

 

Man Accused of Taking Ex’s Social Security Number

• At 2:55 p.m. Sunday, police responded to the 1400 block of Mellen Street and arrested Stewart J. Fring, 45, of Vancouver on suspicion of second-degree identity theft after allegedly providing an officer with his ex’s social security number. He was also booked on an outstanding DOC felony warrant.

 

Suspect Charged with Domestic Battery, Possession of Meth

• At 3:30 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the 1300 block of Belmont Avenue and arrested Keona M. Crawford, 35, of Lakewood on suspicion of fourth-degree assault — domestic violence and possession of meth.

 

Violation of Protective Order Reported

• At 9 a.m. Sunday, police responded to the 1400 block of Maple Valley Drive and arrested Jassmine H.L. Devine, 24, of Centralia on suspicion of violating a protective order and on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.

 

Police Arrest Man For Driving Without a License

• At 3:43 a.m. Monday, police responded to the 8200 block of Harrison Avenue and arrested John D. Lopes Jr., 39, of Centralia on suspicion of no valid operator license and an outstanding Centralia Municipal Court warrant.

 

Suspect Booked on Meth Charge, Driving While Suspended

• At 12:52 p.m. Sunday, police responded to Woodland Avenue and Alder Street and arrested Kristopher P. Dunn, 46, of Chehalis on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and driving on a suspended license.

 

Truck Stolen from Business

• At 9:50 a.m. Saturday, a theft of a 2005 Ford F650 was reported in the 1600 block of Harrison Avenue.

 

Vehicle Stolen

• At 3:09 p.m. Sunday, a theft of a 2005 Kia Spectra was reported in the 500 block of South Diamond Street.

Man Has Pain After Collision

• At 9:46 a.m. Friday, police responded to a one-vehicle crash in the 1500 block of Rice Road, where a vehicle drove off the roadway. A 70-year-old male occupant reported feeling pain to his stomach afterward.

 

Two Males Engage in Verbal Altercation

• At 11:28 a.m. Friday, a caller in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue reported two males yelling at each other.

 

Shoplifter Reported

• At 1:35 p.m. Friday, a shoplifter was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue.

 

Police Arrest Alleged Shoplifter

• At 3:59 p.m. Friday, police responded to the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard and arrested Tamera A. Sanders, 50, of Napavine on suspicion of third-degree theft.

 

Death Threat Reported

• At 9:49 p.m. Friday, a verbal death threat was made at Folsom Street and Maryland Avenue.

Man Punches Electrical Box, Screams at Top of Lungs

• At 11:41 p.m. Friday, a man was reported punching an electrical box and “screaming  and yelling at the top of his lungs” in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue.

 

Man Prowls Cars in Walmart Parking Lot

• At 1:39 a.m. Saturday, a caller in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue said a man was prowling cars in the parking lot.

 

Kids Seen Alone in Vehicle

• At 1:39 p.m. Saturday, a caller in the 1500 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue advised there were kids, appearing under the age of 10, alone in a vehicle for the past 15 minutes.

 

Police Book Man for Protection-Order Violation

• At 4:14 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue and arrested Aaron G. Gange, 28, of Napavine on suspicion of violating a protective order.

 

Suspect Booked on Theft, Drug Charges

• At 6:28 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue and arrested Anthony D. Hofland, 26, of McCleary on suspicion of third-degree theft and possession of a controlled substance.

 

Suspect Sends Harassing Messages Via Social Media

• At 7:38 p.m. Saturday, police were notified that in the 100 block of Southwest Alfred Street, a caller’s daughter was being harassed over the photo-sharing social media application Snapchat. The caller said the suspect was sending sexual messages.

 

Dolls Stolen

• At 5:22 p.m. Sunday, a burglary was reported in the 1500 block of North National Avenue of collectable dolls.

 

Police Arrest Trespassing Suspect

• At 12:23 a.m. Monday, police responded to the 1300 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue and arrested Andrew H. Wiesinger, 37, on suspicion of criminal trespass.

 

LEWIS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Two Booked Following Assault

• At 12:48 a.m. Friday, deputies responded to the 200 block of Bellicum Road, Morton, and arrested Wendy K. Nelson, 40, of Morton on suspicion of fourth-degree assault and possession of a stolen vehicle and Jeffery F. Nelson, 49, of Morton on suspicion of harassment — threat to kill and possession of a stolen vehicle.

 

Items Stolen in Burglary

• At 5:38 p.m. Saturday, a burglary was reported in the 3700 block of Jackson Highway, Chehalis of a chainsaw, a welder victor, a tank and propane.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Monday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 226 inmates, with 194 in general population, 32 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center and three on work release. Of general population inmates, 156 were male and 38 were female and of WERC inmates, 27 were male and five were female. A total of 34 inmates were booked through contracts outside Lewis County.
