Friday night some of the best Dirt Super Late Models around will be vying for $10,000 as Ray Cook presents his annual Tarheel 50 race, at the Tri-County Racetrack.

Brandon Overton (aka. Big Sexy) one of the hottest racers this year is expected as is South Carolina Ross "The Boss" Bailes, and Chickamauga's own Dale McDowell. Recently as for true travelling SLM's Chris "Smokey" Madden picked up a mid-week victory back in late July at the tight ultra-quick 1/4 mile dirt track.

Racing begins at 7:30 p.m., so there's plenty of time to get to the track Friday evening. Best way to get to Tri-county Racetrack is up the Ocoee River Road outside of Cleveland. It's only about 45 minutes from the Cleveland/Ocoee area and the scenery during the drive is majestic this time of year.

Grandstands are $25 and Pit Passes are $40. The track is at 10456 Old Hwy. 64 West, in Brasstown just across the Tennessee state line. For more information on the internet visit TricountyRacetrack.net
