DUI, Student's Bike Stolen: La Grange Police

Man arrested on a drunken driving charge after an accident in another suburb, police say.

LA GRANGE, IL — The La Grange Police Department released its latest blotter. Here is information from the reports:

  • Paul Jackson, 55, of Lisle, was arrested about 9 p.m. Sept. 8 at Tilden and Lincoln avenues on a charge of DUI. He was stopped after officers learned that Jackson was reported to have left the scene of an accident in Bellwood.
  • A package in front of an apartment in the 100 block of East Ogden Avenue was reported stolen around Labor Day. The value was $540.
  • A child's red specialized bicycle valued at $600 was stolen from a bicycle rack Tuesday at Cossitt School, 115 W. Cossitt Ave. The bike was left there unlocked about 12:45 p.m. and was not there when school was let out.
  • An electrical box was broken and the cover was found next to it Monday in the 700 block of East Elm Avenue.
  • A door and doorknob were damaged Sept. 11 in the 700 block of East Elm Avenue. It appeared that an object may have been thrown at the door. There were no pry marks or locks tampered with. No one entered the building.
