Below are FloTrack’s top five NCAA female performers of 2019:

5. Yanis David, Florida

David is the only woman in NCAA history with top 10 all-time performances in the triple and long jump outdoors. Her diverse skill set netted the Guadeloupe native titles in both events in 2019-- the outdoor long and indoor triple.

4. Janeek Brown, Arkansas

The Jamaican was an integral piece of Arkansas’ two titles in 2019, particularly outdoors as she contributed 17 points to a title that the Razorbacks won by seven points. Brown’s 12.40 in the 100m hurdles is the second-fastest in NCAA history.

3. Weini Kelati, New Mexico

The New Mexico junior won her first two titles in 2019, including the NCAA XC crown in Terre Haute.

2. Wadeline Jonathas, South Carolina

Jonathas, a former DIII phenom, transferred to South Carolina in 2019 and proceeded to go from an unheralded sprinter to the U.S. women’s 4x4 anchor on their gold medal relay at the world championships. In between, Jonathas carried the Gamecocks to the NCAA indoor 4x4 title and then won the NCAA outdoor 400m crown. Her 49.60 fourth place finish in the 400m final in Doha was the fastest ever by a collegiate, and represented a stunning 3.58-second improvement on her best before 2019.

1. Sha’Carri Richardson, LSU

The Bowerman winner and the fastest woman in NCAA history etched her name in collegiate lore in her lone season at LSU. 10.75 is a record that will likely stand for a long time.
