Wyandotte County, Kansas, has extended its mask mandate into November.
The Board of Commissioners voted Thursday night at a special meeting to extend the mandate through Nov. 11.
A spokesperson for the Wyandotte County Public Health Department says the full details of the order will be released Friday morning. No changes to the original mandate were voted on.
The original order requires anyone age 5 and older to wear masks.
The mandate aligns with the latest guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that counties with substantial or high transmission require masks for residents.
