State Route 175 between Hopland and Lakeport is limited to vehicles NOT OVER 39 feet in total length! NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The California Department of Transportation posted a video online of a terrifying accident involving an 18-wheeler that they say ignored warning signs of the dangerous road.

According to the post, State Route 175 between Hopland and Lakeport in California is limited to vehicles not over 39 feet in length.

The department said there are multiple signs posted to warn truck drivers of the length restriction, but drivers continue to try to go through it.

One of the trucks that avoided the signs was seen on video attempted to make it through the one-lane section of highway where a retaining wall was being built.

In the video, the truck plummets from the road down an embankment.

The California Department of Transportation posted the video to warn other drivers to heed the warning signs posted on the road so similar accidents won’t happen in the future.

According to the post, the driver was not injured.
