Jeffrey Kent Baggett, age 62, of Rison went to be with his Lord on Saturday, June 11, 2022. He was born January 10, 1960, in Pine Bluff, Ark., to Roy and Shirley Baggett. He retired from the Arkansas Army National Guard as a Captain. He also retired from teaching after 33 years of service. During his time in education, he served as Head Football Coach for Watson Chapel and Monticello, Elementary School Principal for Edgewood Elementary School, High School Principal for Rison High School, and Defensive Coordinator for Rison High School. Mr. Baggett was a member of Whispering Pines Cowboy Church and enjoyed fishing, camping, watching sports and spending time with his family. Kent Baggett was loved and respected by many! He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Annette Baggett; his daughter, Laura Elisabeth Branson and her husband Bryan; his son, Bradford Kent Baggett and his wife Casey; his parents. Roy and Shirley Baggett; one sister, Vicki Spradlin; and one brother, Kirby Baggett and his wife Carla; grandchildren, Ryan Hyatt, Riley Hyatt, Leland Smith, Audrey Branson, Autumn Branson and Lincoln Baggett. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at Greenwood Cemetery in Rison with Bro. Wes Sparks and Clay Totty officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be the Rison High School Football Team.
