Bolingbrook Chamber gets ready for night of honors

Best of Bolingbrook Business Awards and Gala is March 7

The Bolingbrook Area Chamber of Commerce congratulates the 53 finalists for the annual Best of Bolingbrook Business (BOBB) Awards and Gala.

“Every year we celebrate the businesses and nonprofits in the Chamber,” said Executive Director Kevin O’Keeffe. “With over 600 businesses in the Bolingbrook Area Chamber we are particularly proud of the 53 finalists.”

The finalists were nominated across nine categories. The winners are announced Thursday, March 7 during the BOBB awards dinner and gala at the Bolingbrook Golf Club.

“It’s very much like the Academy Awards,” said O’Keeffe. “With secret judging and sealed envelopes with the winners’ names. We even have local comic Pat McGann back this year as our emcee.”

The BOBB Awards and Gala is also when the Chamber recognizes Milestone achievements among its memberships.

“We recognize those businesses that have been long supporters of the Chamber,” said O’Keeffe. “We have around 58 businesses celebrating 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 years with the Bolingbrook Area Chamber.”

The evening also includes a theme; for 2019 it’s “The 1940s: The War at Home.”

“We’re remembering those who fought abroad and those who kept the home fires burning,” said O’Keeffe. “It’s particularly relevant in 2019 as June is the 75th anniversary of the D-Day, the Normandy landings.”

The Best of Bolingbrook Business Awards and Gala starts at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 7 at the Bolingbrook Golf Club. The evening includes live entertainment, a sit-down dinner and cash bar. Dressing in theme attire is encouraged. To reserve tickets please call the Chamber office, 630-226-8240 or register online, bolingbrookchamber.org.
