Buxmont Riding Club Western Horse Show

Free to the public to view any of our horse shows.

BuxMont events are structured to appeal to all equestrian enthusiasts.  From April through October (with the exception of August), shows are held once a month in four different disciplines; Western, Gymkhana (Gaming), English and Driving.  Western events evoke the aura of cowboys and cowgirls as participants in western wear, cowboy boots, and shiny saddles are judged while circling the ring at a walk, jog or lope.  Judging is done both on the rider (equitation) and the horse (pleasure).  Classes are structured to encompass many different age and skill levels to encourage young and inexperienced riders while challenging those who are more advanced.

BuxMont  Riding Club is a local not-for-profit formed in 1944, right here in the Indian Valley.  It was founded by local horseman who wanted to get together regularly and encourage other “horse people” to do the same.  This relaxed atmosphere still exists today, even though the club currently boasts over 400 members.  BuxMont Riding Club encompasses over 20 acres at its current location on Clump Road in Tylersport, PA.  In addition to the lighted main ring used for shows, there is a practice ring, round pen, ample parking, and trails throughout the property.  All are open to members year round.  On show days, members and non-members alike come from all over the state and from as far away as New York, to compete for individual ribbons, year end points and great prizes.
