KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A vehicle struck a pedestrian Friday night as the person tried to cross Shawnee Mission Parkway in Shawnee.
The incident happened around 6:25 p.m. near Shawnee Mission Parkway and Flint Street, according to a Shawnee Police Department news release.
The release said a vehicle traveling west on Shawnee Mission Parkway hit the pedestrian as the person tried to cross the busy road.
There is no word on the pedestrian's condition.
