VERNON TABLER

ASHDOWN, Ark.—Vernon Polis "Buddy" Tabler, 84, of Ben Lomond, Ark., died Monday, Dec. 21, 2015. Mr. Tabler was born March 23, 1931, in Wrights Chapel, Ark. He was retired from Braswell Sand and Gravel, a rancher, and member of First Baptist Church of Ben Lomond. He was preceded in death by his wife, Berniece Cooper Tabler; and one son, Sammy Don Tabler. Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Tabler Thompson and Beverly Tabler Robinson of Texarkana, Texas; one son, Gary Vernon Tabler of Brownstown, Ark.; one brother, Cecil Tabler Jr. of the Hicks, Ark.; three sisters, Mittie Hinsley of Canton, Texas, Shirley Musgrove of DeSoto, Texas, and Winnie Hunter of Shreveport, La.; one sister-in-law, Betty Smith of Hicks; eight grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Madden Funeral Home, Ashdown. Burial in Wrights Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family will be at 8 Forsyth Circle, Texarkana, Texas, at noon to 2 p.m. Saturday.
