The new Capri movie theater has officially opened in Fondren.'Spider-Man: No Way Home' is now showing at the single-screen movie theatre on North State Street at 7:30 p.m.The original building opened in 1940 and closed in 1986.The developers have been working on reopening this location since 2012."We hope to kind of be your central point where you can come and do all of these activities and spill out over to the next restaurant and bar or vice versa, and we can all feed off of each other. We just see this area growing and being an asset to the city," said Developer Jason Watkins.Renovations have been done including comfortable reclining seats and a full-service menu.Tickets can be purchased online with the first show already sold out.The Fondren area has also opened up a restaurant called the Pearl, which has a bowling alley and a tiki bar.
