Coronavirus In Ohio: 944 New Cases, 14 Deaths

Forty-three Ohioans were hospitalized due to COVID-19, the state health department announced.

COLUMBUS, OH — All of Ohio's COVID-19 metrics were down on Sunday, the state health department announced.

After averaging more than 1,300 new COVID-19 cases per day, officials confirmed 944 cases in the last 24 hours. Since the start of the pandemic, more than 93,000 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Ohio.

Fourteen Ohioans died due to COVID-19 complications in the past 24 hours. More than 3,500 Ohioans have died from complications created by the virus.

Hospitalizations and intensive care admission related to COVID-19 were also down on Sunday. Forty-three Ohioans were admitted to hospitals for care because of the virus, and three Ohioans entered intensive care units.
