Michigan Corrections Officer Dies From Coronavirus
The agency posted about the employee's death on social media.
DETROIT, MI — A Michigan corrections officer in Detroit has died from the coronavirus, the Michigan Department of Corrections said in a social media post Thursday.
"The MDOC mourns the passing of a dedicated corrections transportation officer in Detroit, who passed away after contracting COVID-19," the agency posted. "Our thoughts are with the officer's family, friends and colleagues at this sad time and we know he will be greatly missed."
