What do organic produce, West African fashion, Real Housewives of Atlanta, and a colorful character that’s equal parts French bulldog and octopus have in common?

They’ll all have connections to Grant Park’s adaptive-reuse district The Beacon soon.

Reps with The Beacon announced today a wave of new retail, food, and fitness options that have recently opened—or are scheduled to open in coming months—at the Pellerin Real Estate venture, joining Pin & Proper restaurant and bar, The Baker Dude, ButeCo Coffee Shop, Patria Cocina restaurant, and others.

Punctuated by a 60-foot “B” tower, the $30 million district is positioned between Eventide Brewing, which moved to the area in 2014 after a successful Kickstarter campaign, and about 600 feet of abandoned railroad corridor frontage. In coming years, that’s set to become the Atlanta Beltline’s Southside Trail.

All told, The Beacon is transforming six former warehouses into 110,000 square feet of space across nine acres.

Below is a rundown of what’s new—and what’s coming—as described by officials.

Open:

• A Haute Cookie: Opened in November, this sweets spot features “edible cookie dough, cookie bars, and pies that are made without any preservatives.”

• Nica Life: This artisan jewelry company “provides jobs to women in Nicaragua selling one handmade boho necklace at a time.”

• Kickstart Martial Arts: Opened last week—hi-yaah!

• Divine Dermatology: This is a “premier, full service skin care center that offers state-of-the-art medical, surgical, and cosmetic services,” which opened a few weeks ago.

Scheduled for early 2019 openings:

  • Bailey Room Wine Cellar: This wine bar concept was created by Cynthia Bailey of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
  • Adara Clothing and Cultural Accents: Expected to join The Beacon’s retail lineup this winter, this shop will offer modern Muslim and West African fashion.
  • Squishieland: An art gallery by Ray Geier, creator of the ubiquitous Atlanta street character and art object, sQuishiepuss.
  • Marguerites Bistro: A source of “Jamaican-fusion” food.
  • Third Street Market Deli & Bar: A neighborhood market specializing in fresh and organically produced foods.
