The Baylor girls soccer team hosted undefeated Nolensville in a non-region soccer match on Sunday afternoon.
After playing to a 0-0 halftime score Red Raider Elizabeth Stophel broke through the Nolensville defense to score after a breakaway pass from Claire Holtzclaw. Baylor improves to 10-1-2 and Nolensville is now 7-1-2.
"First, I have to give credit to Mario Dematteo and Victor McClure (our field maintenance crew) for giving us such a wonderful field to play on today with all this rain," Coach Curtis Blair said after the game.
"The field held up great and credit goes to those two guys for all the work they did."
"Coach (Eric) Shelton does such a great job with that program and getting a win is always tough," Blair continued. "I thought our team was outstanding today. We defended very well and also created numerous chances. This win was a total team effort and very proud of them today."
