Around 10,000 people will have a meal thanks to MOD Pizza and Generosity Feeds.

Today, hundreds of community volunteers gathered to prepare those meals by creating assembly lines of people measuring, packing and sealing the meals for delivery.

This event is part of a nationwide initiative to create over 500,000 meals across the country by the end of this year.

"We believe very much in sending meals all over the world where children are starving, but one of the things we realized is that there are children that often get overlooked right here in our own counties and we wanna be a force for making a difference right here where we've been placed," said Hope Church Pastor Greg Lynas.

Organizers say it takes the whole community coming out to be part of this event.

This initiative is based on the goal of bringing hope to every child in America so they can know where their next meal is coming from.
