A Leicester woman has praised Asda staff after finding a problem with her advent calendar from the supermarket.
Emily Burrows received a Harry Potter charm advent calendar from her dad as a gift.
The 28-year-old from Narborough opened each door which gave her a different charm and a bracelet to attach them onto.
However, after the festive period, Emily found that her advent calendar received two duplicates: a Hufflepuff slider and a Ravenclaw emblem.
Emily told LeicestershireLive: "I only started putting the bracelet together after Christmas had finished so I didn't realise.
"When I put it together, I noticed two were the same which was disappointing".
Emily went to Twitter to report the blunder to Asda who promptly replied.
A spokesperson said: "Hi Emily, oh no that's really disappointing, I'm sorry we've let you down with duplicate charms. Please pop us a DM with your full name and address and we'll see what we can do".
A week later, supermarket staff sent a letter attached with the missing charms and another bracelet from the silicone Harry Potter advent calendar.
The note read: "Hi Emily, our apologies again for the missing charms. With our compliments we have enclosed a little gift of our silicone Harry Potter advent calendar".
Emily added: "I thought it was really cute. I wasn't looking for anything and they didn't have to send anything.
"But it was a lovely gesture".
An Asda spokesperson said: "We’re so pleased that our Customer Service team were able to bring a bit of magic to Emily by finding her missing charms.’’
