ESPN NFL draft analyst Todd McShay projected the Arizona Cardinals will select Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Kyler Murray with the first overall pick when the 2019 draft kicks off Thursday night in Nashville, Tennessee.

McShay released his final mock draft Thursday morning, with Murray at the top amid speculation the Cards may not take the reigning Heisman Trophy winner with the No. 1 choice. Rich Eisen of the NFL Network received a top-10 projection from a source Wednesday evening, with Alabama Crimson Tide defensive tackle Quinnen Williams going to Arizona.

After Murray, the San Francisco 49ers will take Ohio State Buckeyes defensive end Nick Bosa with the second selection, according to McShay's last forecast.

The 2019 draft could quickly become interesting if the Cardinals pass on Murray because almost every projection in recent weeks has been predicated on him being their pick. Who knows what could ensue if he's still on the board beyond No. 1.

It still seems like the Sooners signal-caller is the pick, and Bleacher Report's Matt Miller matched McShay by making Murray and Bosa the first two players off the board.

"Unless the Arizona Cardinals have run the most elaborate smokescreen in NFL draft history, this will be their pick," Miller wrote about Murray. "... The Cardinals likely had long conversations about Alabama's Quinnen Williams and Ohio State's Nick Bosa here, but all the information coming from league and team sources since January pointed to Murray as the pick."

McShay predicted the New York Jets to take the Tide's Williams, the Oakland Raiders to grab Houston Cougars defensive tackle Ed Oliver and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to select Kentucky Wildcats outside linebacker Josh Allen to round out his top five.

His other quarterback projections for Round 1 included the Buckeyes' Dwayne Haskins to the Washington Redskins (No. 15), Drew Lock of the Missouri Tigers to the New York Giants (No. 17) and Daniel Jones of the Duke Blue Devils to the Los Angeles Chargers (No. 28).

It's possible all four quarterbacks end up going inside the first half of the opening round once trades—which McShay didn't include in his mock—are factored in.

The draft gets underway Thursday at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN, ABC and the NFL Network.
