It started out as a crack in the road following a destructive flood in September, but now residents say it is an impassable road making their lives miserable.
Lowber Road runs through a rural section of Sewickley Township but PennDot repairs and water runoff have created a massive problem, as the road is cut off, forcing residents to take a 6-mile detour off the normal route that travels a half mile to main destinations in their town.
"This is just beyond frustrating that this has been going on since September," said Ellen Kearns.
Lowber Road is used by the fire department, school buses, residents and delivery services. Residents are hopeful the road will be repaired by the end of February.
