2 East Providence Nonprofits Named Most Top-Rated

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — Two local nonprofits — East Providence Heritage Days and Rumford's JDP Theatre Co. — have been named most top-rated nonprofits in the United States. The designation comes from GreatNonprofits, a provider of user reviews of charities and nonprofits.

East Providence Heritage Days works to raise public awareness on the importance of fostering social and economic growth. It also provides art and cultural experiences in all types of art and works to make arts accessible and affordable for all, according to GreatNonprofits.

JDP Theatre puts on musicals and dramas throughout the year with actors who are children and young adults. According to GreatNonprofits, the theatre group serves people in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

The Top-Rated Nonprofit Award is based on the rating and number of reviews from volunteers, donors and supporters.
