HIGH POINT — Norwalk Furniture will host a series of events at High Point Market aimed at educating interior designers and retailers on performance fabrics.

The three-part series kicks off on April 6 from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. with a program featuring Elise Gabrielson, marketing manager of performance fabric resource Crypton Home. The second part of the series will take place the following day from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. and will introduce attendees to the benefits of Sunbrella fabrics with an educational presentation from Harrison Hood, Glen Raven Mill’s national sales manager for indoor furniture.

The series will culminate on April 8 from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. with the “Demystifying Performance in Design: Residential, Resimercial and Hospitality” panel discussion, sponsored by Revolution Fabrics.

The panel, moderated by Jane Platina-Phipps of Trim Queen, will include designers Denise Wenacur, senior designer of DW Design & Décor LLC and principal of Wenacur; Jessica Duce, owner of JDuce Design: and Gary Inman, an award-winning interior designer, author and public speaker. The panelists will share what role performance fabrics, materials and textiles play in their current design projects.

“We are excited that Crypton, Sunbrella and Revolution will all be on-site to share some of their insights with our attendees,” said Caroline Hipple, president of Norwalk Furniture. “As an industry there are many textile mills that have performance fabrics, but we feel these three are beyond sufficient for attendees to understand in order to cover consumer needs and various lifestyles.”

The series, which will be hosted at Norwalk Furniture’s International Home Furnishings Center Main 108 showroom, is free and open to all interior designers, retailers and other marketgoers with a valid spring market pass.
