Homosassa River Cleanup Project

Workers with Sea & Shoreline in October 2020 excavate part of the site for the Homosassa River Restoration Project behind the Bella Oasis Motel off of U.S. 19, where pumped water and muck from the river bottom will be treated before returning.

Good things come to those (and things) who wait, including the Homosassa River.

It’s been almost four years since representatives from the Homosassa River Restoration Project, Inc. visited King’s Bay in Crystal River to study a successful cleanup endeavor there.

Sea & Shoreline Diver Homosassa River Restoration

A diver with Sea & Shoreline uses a hand pump to suck unwanted vegetation from the bottom of the Homosassa River. Vacuumed water is piped to a nearby treatment site before being returned.
