The Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications (MTT) Bahrain Post has issued three commemorative stamps and souvenir sheet on the occasion of the 44th anniversary of the National Day and celebrations of the 16th Anniversary of the Accession Day of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The set was designed reflecting some big achievements that include the construction of 40,000 houses, King Hamad University Hospital, Khalifa Technology Institute, Salman Industrial City, Bahrain International Circuit, air, land and sea transportation and more.
The stamps are available in 200 fils, 300 fils and 400 fils and Souvenir Sheet with BD 1.500 denomination.

Bahraini forces in Yemen mark National, Accession Days
Bahraini forces deployed in Yemen as part of the Saudi-led coalition to restore legitimacy to the country celebrated Bahrain National and Accession Days at the site of duty by writing the occasion.
They extended heartfelt congratulations to His Majesty the King, the government and the Bahraini people.
Bahrain Development Village to be built in Djibouti
Marking the glorious National Day and the Anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's Accession, the "Bahrain Development Village" will be built in Djibouti at a cost BD 650.000.
Djiboutian Prime Minister Abdoulkader Kamil Mohammed laid the foundation stone of the landmark project during a ceremony attended by a number of the village officials, as well as Bahraini charity and volunteer teams.
Themed "If anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind," the project aims at providing the requirements of decent living for needy families who are suffering from desertification and drought, the Bahrain Development Village Director Hassan Al Jassim said.
The project will provide housing for 100 poor families, in addition to a clinic, a school and water tank at a total cost of BD650.000, Jassim added, calling on philanthropists to contribute to the development scheme.
Bahraini charity societies and voluntary teams, alongside a humanitarian team from Kuwait are participating the project.
Fourth Al Basta Market kicks off Friday
Fourth Al Basta Market opened on Friday in Bahrain International Circuit (BIC). Small enterprises as well as farmers from Bahrain's governorates participated in the activities of the market.
Al Basta market aims at enabling the citizens to offer local and homemade products, facilitate the communication among producers, consumers and society, educate consumers about the sustainability of recycled products and the real cost of imported goods. Al Basta 4 will continue on a weekly basis on Friday and Saturday until February 6.
Nato delegation visits military museum
A delegation from the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (Nato), led by the Commandant of the Nato Defence College Major-General Janusz Bojarski, during a visit to the kingdom, has paid a visit to the BDF's Military Museum.
The delegation was informed about the museum's halls and sections which include s a variety of ancient collectables, drawings and models documenting Bahrain's military history.
