Kellogg Police Department Roll Call: March 31 - April 1

• Suspicious vehicle, darked out at the gondolier, vehicle was unoccupied and nothing with the store was disturbed. Cleared, NAT.

• Traffic stop in the 76 parking lot for equipment, verbal.

• Assisted K73, K75 on domestic. Cleared, assist.

• Suspicious person reported in the area of the Cameron Conoco, wasn't able to locate anyone in the area. Cleared, UTL.

• Open door was located in the 400 block of E. Portland, secured door and didn't find anyone inside.

• Traffic stop on the 50 on-ramp, verbal.

• ATL for a vehicle that had left the scene of a crash, then didn’t, then did… turned out they didn’t leave the scene — well I think anyways, not sure. What I do know is that K76 did not find it. NAT.

• Patrolled in the sun.

• City park patrol in the sun.

• Radar patrol on Cameron Avenue in the sun.

• Abandoned paperwork not in the sun.

• Received a LL regarding a possible domestic. No domestic taken in place, verbal warning for noise ordinance. Cleared, verbal.

• Parking issues x2 near the intersection of Helen and W. Cameron, subjects arrived to move vehicles prior to me beginning the parking tickets. They were educated on what yellow curb means (no parking).

• Landline regarding current case.

• Landline from Health & Welfare regarding the home visit from last week.

• Citizen contact 100 block Legion requesting a courtesy ride. Cleared, unable to give ride.

• Business alarm 800 block W. Cameron. Cleared, accidentally triggered.

• Hit and run 600 block Bunker Avenue. Cleared, report taken.

• Called to Dave Smith lot by Teeters field for malicious injury to property. No property was damaged. Cleared, unfounded.

• Dave Smith security also notified me of a suspicious vehicle at the Cameron Conoco. After making contact, driver left the area.

• Words from the Chief: “The bathrooms at the parks are now open. Please remember to lock them at night and unlock them on the weekends and holidays.”

• Malicious injury to property 100 block E. Portland. Cleared, report taken.

• Landline regarding a stolen/missing firearm being found. Cleared, NAT.

• Landline regarding hit and run from April 1, 2021. Cleared, public assist.

• Landline regarding an abandoned vehicle 600 block south division. Cleared, public assist.

• Landline with questions regarding trespassing. Cleared, public assist.

• Reports.

• Citizen contact at the PD for extra patrol request. Clear, public assist.

• Extra patrols request 100 block W. Idaho.

• Petit theft 400 block Bunker Avenue. Cleared, report taken.

• Took a dog into the pound from county. Cleared, other agency assist.

• Traffic stop 600 block McKinley Avenue. Cleared, misdemeanor cite and release for DUI.

• Dispatched to the 400 block of W. Brown Avenue for an out-of-control juvenile. After conducting an investigation, I will be submitting charges to the courthouse.

• Landline request regarding child custody issues/questions. After making contact, incident is taking place in Smelterville currently and was referred to Shoshone County Sheriff's Office for follow-up and/or civil stand-by to get child back.

• Dispatched to the 200 block of E. Station Avenue for a verbal domestic. Contacted both parties and was unable to discover a crime. Parties were separated and peace was restored.

• Responded to the 10 block of N. Division Street for a welfare check. Made contact with said individual and said individual requested transportation to a medical facility because he was hearing voices and was overly paranoid. Individual was later transported to Shoshone Medical Center. On a side note, meth will do that to a fella sometimes.

• Assisted District 2 Fire with a medical call on the 10 block of W. Mill. Individual was examined by medical personnel but later refused treatment.

• Dispatched to the 800 block of W. Cameron Avenue for a burglary alarm. Cleared the building and discovered no forceable entry being made.

• Dispatched to a possible kidnapping at the Cameron Conoco. After an investigation it turned out to be unfounded.

• Welfare check and the Amy Lynn's. Negative contact.

• Dispatched to W. Portland Avenue for an animal complaint. Attempted to make contact with the owners of the dog but they were not home.

• Traffic at McKinley and middle Third, verbal for distracted driving.

• Traffic at 400 block Railroad Avenue, verbal for distracted driving.

• Finger printing city employees at City Hall.

• Foot patrols in uptown (McKinley, Main, Idaho)/City Park — Railroad.

• Courtesy transport from Shoshone Medical Center to a Kellogg residence. Public assist.

• Suspicious vehicle in the IGA parking lot at 1 a.m. everything was code 4.

• Checked on a darked-out vehicle in the RV dump station on Bunker Avenue, vehicle was unoccupied. NAT.

• Assisted 1226 on a DUI stop in the 1500 block of McKinley Avenue. Cleared, other agency assist.

• Reports.

• Assisted K76 with a fire started by juveniles on the 100 block of E. Portland Avenue.

• Assisted K76 with a traffic stop in the Yoke's parking lot.

• Assisted county with a traffic stop on the 2000 block of McKinley Avenue.

• Dispatched to a wrong way driver on Interstate 90. Checked the area but was unable to locate.

• Conducted follow-up and worked on reports.

• Assist K77 with a towed vehicle on S. Division.

• Training most of the day.

• Parking issued 200 block of Flume, was able to finally track down driver of vehicle and have it moved off private property (miscommunication when trying to park after renting Air B&B).

• Traffic stop Bunker and Beryl, verbal warning for obstructing traffic (vehicle stopped in the middle of the road).

• Threats at 700 block Bunker as well as Jacobs Gulch. Investigation completed and information report taken along with information being passed along to another agency.

• Verbal altercation 100 block W. Mullan, no crime had taken place and parties agreed to separate while one person moved property out of the residence. Unfounded for crime.

• Welfare check at 100 block E. Portland, subject was OK (continuation of the welfare check from K73, but the person was home this time).

• Assault on 300 block Ohio. Cause was speed (or what one party believes to be speeding) and emotions getting the better of judgement. Baseball bat was brought out and threats were made to damage property (no people). Neither side wanted to pursue charges and when talking separately, everyone was on the same page… they just did not know how to express it to one another. Victim refused and peace restored.

• Traffic stop 400 block W. Brown, citation for expired driver's license (verbal for cellphone use).

• Suspicious issues 700 block S. Division. At the end of information given by dispatch, K74 deemed this to be abandoned vehicle complaint. Two vehicles were tagged for removal in front of 709 S. Division.

• Welfare check on intoxicated person. This was dispatched to various locations, ended up finding subject Chestnut and Riverside. No laws had been broken and subject requested courtesy transport to Walmart. Guess who's back, back again. Steel reserve is back, tell a friend, guess who's back, guess who's back?

• Assist K76 with suspicious vehicle at City Park. Cleared, agency assist.

• Called to FairBridge in for unwanted intoxicated subject. Subject left after my arrival. Cleared, public assist. Guess who?
