A show in tribute to legendary Lebanese diva Sabah was held last night at the Cultural Hall, near Bahrain National Museum. Singer Rima Khcheich, also Lebanese, performed some of Sabah’s most famous songs, including those from great composers such as Mohammed Abdel Wahad, Sayed Mekawy and Farid Al Atrash.
Sabah had released more than 50 albums and acted in 98 movies and had a repertoire of more than 3,500 songs before her death in 2014.
Ms Khcheich was performing as part of this year’s Spring of Culture festival, which will run until April 25.
Tonight, Arab superstar Kadim Al Sahir will perform to a sold-out show at Arad Fort.
