CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Plenty of families were on hand to celebrate the new year at the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History at noon on Thursday.

Each year the museum marks the end of the year with the dropping of the atom as part of it's Noon Year's Eve celebration, and this year, KRIS 6 Sunrise anchor Paulo Salazar was the emcee for the event.

There were science demonstrations, activities and several exhibits for families to check out and take part in.
If you missed the event, no worries. You can visit the museum year-round on N. Chaparral St.
